FLORENCE, S.C.- Senior centerfielder Sherquita Bostick (Florence, S.C.) of the Georgia College & State University softball team (31-22) claimed a spot for the Bobcats on the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) All-Tournament Team. The All-Tournament selections were announced Sunday (April 19) at the close of the championship game.

Over the weekend, Bostick showed off her hitting chops posting two home runs and a double during the Peach Belt Tournament, hitting .400 with a 1.100 slugging percentage. The back-to-back PBC Player of the Year also recorded a stolen base during the 7-0 win over Lander University, giving her seven for the season. She holds the team high in both homers and doubles with 12 and 11, respectively.

The Bobcats, ranked No. 4 in the most recent NCAA Southeast Region Poll, will await the selection for the 2009 NCAA Tournament. The selections will be announced Sunday, May 3, as the Bobcats vie for their fourth-straight trip to the NCAA tourney.
