Tournament Postponed, GC Softball Adds Doubleheader

by Matthew Dalby, sports information graduate assistant

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – After first postponing this weekend’s opening softball tournament at Georgia Southwestern State University, the Bobcats found out today that the tournament has been cancelled completely due to the rain in the area.

While the Bobcats won’t begin play on Saturday, head coach Jamie Madewell-Grodecki has scheduled a doubleheader Sunday, Feb. 6 at the Peeler Complex in Milledgeville, Ga.

Weather permitting, the games would begin at 2 p.m. against Anderson University (S.C.).  The Trojans were also set to play in the GSW Tournament over the weekend.
