MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Softball junior catcher Anna Parker (Columbus, Ga.) was named Georgia College Athlete of the Week as announced by the Sports Information Department Tuesday afternoon. This is Parker’s first GC Athlete of the Week award.
The junior catcher enjoyed a solid week, leading the Bobcats to a 3-1 record. Parker hit .438 (7-for-16), belting one home run and one double. She also scored five runs and drove in four.
In game two against Armstrong Atlantic, Parker went a perfect 4-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBI and two runs. She also hit safely in all four games this week.
The softball team awaits their seed in the PBC Tournament. Their first game will take place Friday, April 15 at the Freedom Florence Complex in Florence, S.C.
