MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College softball program and head coach Jamie Grodecki announced the addition of Kristen Humphries Friday.
Humphries comes to Georgia College from Columbus High, where she played for Ron DiQuattro. A third baseman and outfielder, she was an All-State selection in 2009-10, adding First Team All-Bi-City twice, and second team as a sophomore. The 2009-10 team Defensive MVP also owns the school’s single-season and career home run and RBI records. She helped the Sailors softball team to 2009-2010 AAA State and Regional titles.
“Kristen is very versatile and should be able to help us out in several positions this coming year,” said Grodecki. “She is an ideal student-athlete, coming in with great academic and athletic accolades. Kristen is a power hitter and I hope she will help put some runs on the board for us next year.”
The daughter of Shawn and Marisela Humphries, Kristen plans to major in biology.
