MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College softball program and head coach Jamie Grodecki are pleased to announce the addition of graduate assistant coach Kayla Lucas.
A native of Conway, Ark., Lucas received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Baptist College after spending her first two years at Henderson State University. She will be pursuing a master’s degree in exercise science at GC.
“We are so excited to be adding Kayla to our staff this year,” said Grodecki. “She had a lot of success as a collegiate athlete and I know she will bring that winning attitude to our girls each day on and off the field. Kayla will work mostly with infielders and catchers.”
Lucas played collegiate softball all four years, garnering NAIA, NCCAA and NFCA All-American honors in 2011. She was named to the All-Region and All-Tournament squads while aiding Central Baptist to a National Championship in 2010.
