Predicted Ice Cancels Wednesday Softball Doubleheader, Moved to March 20
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College softball doubleheader, originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the University of West Georgia has been moved to March 20, due to projected inclement weather.
With proposed freezing rain and ice on the horizon, the athletic departments at both Georgia College and West Georgia have decided to move the contest, in the interest of safety.
The Bobcats' next matchup is a doubleheader at Carson-Newman College Saturday, Feb. 15 with a 1 p.m. start time.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
