Softball Receives Votes in NFCA National Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The most recent National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) poll released Wednesday, March 12 has the Georgia College softball team (19-5) just one spot outside of the top-25, receiving 34 votes.
The Bobcats are currently on a six-game winning streak, dating back to March 4. Georgia College has a 3-1 record against top-25 teams this season, splitting two games against No. 21 Anderson University on Feb. 22 and taking two from No. 23 Barry University this past week.
Two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools are in the top-25, with Armstrong Atlantic State at No. 4 and University of North Georgia ranked No. 9. The Bobcats will take on both teams within the next two weeks with games against the No. 4 Pirates March 28, and the No. 9 Nighthawks March 16.
Georgia College returns to action Friday, March 14 when they travel to Young Harris College (10-13) for both teams' first PBC contests of the season.
