MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College softball program is set to host their annual Softball Alumni Day Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Peeler Complex on West Campus.
"Georgia College is all about tradition and it's important for the younger players to recognize the former players who help build this program," said assistant coach Kayla Lucas. "One of the slogans of the program is "Bring it Back" reminding the players where the program started and what it stands for."
The Alumni game is set to start at 11 a.m. Saturday with T-shirts available for purchase and a cookout following the conclusion of the game. The event will consist of current GC softball players against former Bobcat and Colonial softball graduates. Families are more than welcome to watch the game free of charge. The Alumni game is also set as the same weekend of Milledgeville's annual Deep Roots Festival, along with Georgia College's Family Day on campus.
