LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Georgia College Softball team (36-14) rose one spot to No. 20 in the latest Division II National Poll, released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Wednesday. The No. 20 slot matches the highest position for Bobcat Softball this season.
This marks four-straight weeks for Bobcat Softball in the nation's top-25. Georgia College is one of two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools in this week's list, and one of three from the NCAA Southeast Region. PBC Champion University of North Georgia is No. 1, while Lenoir-Rhyne University of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) comes in at No. 11.
The Bobcats are back in action tomorrow, May 10 at 2 p.m. in the NCAA Southeast Regional II, hosted by LRU. No. 3-seed GC Softball starts the bracket against No. 6-seed Carson-Newman University in Hickory, North Carolina.
