HICKORY, N.C. – The No. 20 Georgia College Softball team (36-14) heads to Lenoir-Rhyne University for NCAA Southeast Regional II this week, looking to begin their run to the 2018 National Championship.

The Bobcats are the No. 3-seed in the region, and start with No. 6-seed Carson-Newman University of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) Thursday, May 10 at 2 p.m. The double-elimination bracket also features No. 2-seed LRU and No. 7-seed Young Harris College.

GC Softball is led by a quartet of All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) players, including a first-team selection in outfielder Holland Coursey (Sugar Hill, Georgia). Fellow senior Baylee Hall (Hephzibah, Georgia) also made an appearance on the All-PBC First Team, but has had her season cut short with an injury and will be held to pinch-running duties.

Junior outfielder Caroline Snider (Tennille, Georgia) and freshman pitcher Jessie Morris (Vidalia, Georgia) earned second-team nods and are sure to play key roles in the Bobcats' success this week.

The Bobcats are second in the PBC in runs scored (317) and were tops in batting average (.338) and on-base percentage (.427) this season.
