MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga.- The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced their women's preseason polls today (Oct. 29), with Georgia College & State University selected to finish ninth. The polls are compiled from votes by head coaches from around the league.

A year after going 13-15, 8-12 PBC the Bobcats were picked ninth to finish ahead UNC Pembroke and Georgia Southwestern State University.

Last year was just the second losing campaign in the past 13 years for the Lady Bobcats. While Georgia College didn't have an All-PBC pick for the first time since joining the league in 1991, they did pick up their first PBC Freshman of the Year in Dominique Huffin (Tucker, Ga.). Huffin shot .321 from behind the arc and scored a Centennial Center record 41 points against Lander last season. A pair of Division-I transfers in Shandrea Moore (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) and Antoinette Reames (Orlando, Fla.) join the Lady ‘Cats, both from the University of North Florida. Moore figures into the lead at the point-guard spot, while Reames gives the Lady Bobcats much needed-height in the post.
