MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University sports information department has announced the Athlete of the Week award going to junior Shandrea Moore (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) of the women's basketball team today (Dec. 9). The award honors the top performance by a Bobcat during the week ending Dec. 7. Moore tallied 13 points for the Bobcats in a 67-59 loss against Lenoir-Rhyne University Dec. 1. Adding to her scoring, Moore finished with six dishes and five caroms. She was .500 (5-10) from the floor and .600 (3-5) from the charity stripe.
The Bobcats will be on the road Dec. 15 to face Peach Belt Conference (PBC) rival Augusta State University at 5:30 p.m. Last season the Bobcats split the games between the Lady Jaguars, winning the game in Augusta.
