Bobcat Womens Basketball Still Receiving Votes
by Tyler Peck, sports information graduate
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University women's basketball (10-4, 3-1 PBC) received three votes in this week's (Jan. 19) USA Today/ESPN Division II Coaches Poll.
The poll came out after the Bobcats took down two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) opponents, Georgia Southwestern State University and Armstrong Atlantic State University. Georgia College breezed through the Hurricanes 66-48 at home and then stole a victory from the Pirates 58-50 in Savannah this past week. The Bobcats are the only PBC team receiving votes that are not nationally ranked. Lander University is ranked No. 14 while No. 17 Francis Marion University and No. 19 Clayton State University are the only three PBC in the top-25.
Georgia College is back in action today, Jan. 20 at 5:30 p.m. on the road against Columbus State University.
