MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University women's basketball team (13-4, 6-1 PBC) continues to receive votes in the USA Today/ESPN Division II Coaches Poll. The Bobcats received 14 votes, the highest of the season, in this week's poll release (Jan. 26).

Georgia College won three conference road games, this week defeating Columbus State University 53-45. The Bobcats then squared off against Peach Belt Conference (PBC) newcomers, the University of Montevallo and Flagler College. Head coach John Carrick's ‘Cats took down the Falcons 63-59 and then went on to slay the Saints 65-47.

Once again, the Bobcats are the only team in the PBC to be receiving votes that are not nationally ranked. Lander University is ranked No. 11 while No. 17 Francis Marion University and No. 18 Clayton State University are the only three PBC schools in the top-25.

Georgia College hits the hardwood Friday, Jan. 29 against No. 17 Francis Marion in the Centennial Center at 5:30 p.m.
