Georgia College Womens Basketball Remains in Sixth in Region Poll

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University women's hoops team (15-5, 8-2 PBC) remained sixth in the NCAA Southeast Region Poll released Feb. 3. The Bobcats went 1-1 this week, falling 92-77 to No. 17 Francis Marion Jan. 29 before bouncing back against UNC Pembroke 61-56 Jan. 31 at home.
Georgia College is one of five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed in the regional rankings. Lander University remains at the No. 1 slot, while Clayton State University sits at third, Francis Marion University follows at fourth, GCSU at sixth and Columbus State University finishes at 10th.
The Bobcats face National No. 15 Clayton State Saturday, Feb. 5 at 1:30 p.m. in the Centennial Center. Georgia College defeated the Lakers earlier in the season 73-60.
