MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Sponsored by the Thundercrew student spirit group and the Campus Activities Board, Georgia College will have a fan bus available for Friday’s opening round game of the NCAA Southeast Regional Women’s Basketball Tournament.
The bus will depart from the Centennial Center bus stop at 5:30 p.m. Friday for the Bobcats’ 8 p.m. showdown with Barton College. The bus will be open to the first 40 students to pay a $5 deposit at the Den in the Campus Life department, attached to Magnolia Ballroom. The deposit will be returned Friday as travelers get on the bus. Deposit can be paid in cash or on your Bobcat Card.
The trip will be entirely free, thanks in large part to the Parking and Transportation office for supplying the bus and driver. In addition, the GC Department of Athletics will cover the $3 charge for student tickets to the game.
Be sure to get your seats fast, as at noon on Thursday, any open seats on the bus will become available to faculty, staff and the Milledgeville community. Don’t miss your chance to root on the Bobcats at the NCAA Tournament!
