MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball program and head coach Maurice Smith are excited to host a free basketball clinic for boys and girls ages 6-to-12. The clinic will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Centennial Center.
The Bobcats are coming off an exceptional season in which they compiled a 21-8 overall record and were the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) West Division Champions.
Smith takes the helm after serving as an assistant for four seasons under legendary coach John Carrick. The Bobcats started the season strong with an impressive 67-57 exhibition win over Division I Mercer University and look to stay hot against their next opponent, Anderson University (S.C.) Nov. 12.
The Georgia College Department of Athletics, back-to-back winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 10 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
