GC Receiving Votes in USA Today/ESPN Division II Top- 25 Women’s Basketball Poll
LILBURN, Ga. – After three victories in the past week, Georgia College women’s basketball (5-0) is again receiving votes in the second USA Today/ESPN Division II Top-25 poll.
The Bobcats defeated both of their opponents in the Chick-Fil-A Thanksgiving Classic, Trevecca Nazarene University and St. Augustine’s College. The week started with a home win over the University of West Georgia.
Georgia College is one of two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams receiving votes, getting 29 to USC Aiken’s 10. There are also three PBC teams in the top-25. Lander University is holding spot two, moving up from third in the last poll. Clayton State University moved up from No. 13 to No. 9, and Francis Marion University jumps in at No. 25.
The Bobcats take on No. 2 Lander Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1:30 p.m, at the Centennial Center.
