MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) of the Georgia College women’s basketball team (12-3, 4-3 PBC) was named Georgia College Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 23, as announced by the athletic department today. This is her fourth athlete of the week award of the season and eighth overall.
Jordan continued her dominance on the court this past week, averaging 20.0 points per game. Jordan started her week off with a game-high 25-point performance, shooting 9-of-20 from the field and grabbing nine boards in the win over Flagler.
In the win over CSU Wednesday, she put up a game-high 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds and had six steals. Jordan ended her stellar week with a double-double in the win over Montevallo. She shot 6-of-15 from the floor for 18 points, had 11 rebounds and three steals.
The Bobcats travel to Francis Marion University for a 5:30 p.m. start Friday, Jan. 25.
