MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women’s basketball team (12-3, 4-3 PBC) were ranked third in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Division II Southeast regional rankings, which were released yesterday.
Each team ranked within the top five of the regional rankings at the end of the season will receive an at-large bid for the regional tournament.
In the Southeast Region Polls, six Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams were ranked within the top ten. Ahead of the Bobcats were Lander University at first and Clayton State University at second.
The Bobcats are going strong with a 3-0 record this past week against Peach Belt opponents. Senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) earned PBC Player of the Week for the first time this season.
GC is on the road this week, traveling to Francis Marion Friday,
