AUGUSTA, Ga. – Senior Chimere Jordan (Gray, Ga.) of the Georgia College women’s basketball team was selected to the Pre-Season All- Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Team as announced Thursday.
Jordan and the Bobcats finished 21-8 (13-4 PBC) in the 2009-10 season winning the PBC West Division title.
She was named second-team all-conference last season, her first at Georgia College. She led the team and was ranked fifth in the PBC with 16.1 ppg, hitting .370 of her three-pointers and .820 from the line. She was also second in free throw percentage, seventh in steals, sixth in three-point percentage and fifth in three-pointers made.
Jordan scored in double figures in 24 games, going over 20 points nine times with three double-doubles. She was also named to the 2010 PBC All-Tournament team and a PBC Player of the Week last season.
The Bobcats open up at Anderson University (S.C.) on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. Their home opener is set for Nov. 17 against USC Aiken at 5:30 p.m. in the friendly confines of the Centennial Center.
