Keys Named Bobcat Athlete of the Week After Helping Basketball to Two Wins

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Sophomore guard Shanteona Keys (Roswell, Ga.) has been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending Dec. 31.

Keys helped the Bobcats to a perfect 2-0 record at the Stair South Inc. Holiday Classic. The sophomore guard put down 18 points Sunday against Tuskegee University and then 17 the following day against Coker College. She also tallied a total of five steals, five assists, and eight rebounds during the two games. Keys has scored double digit points in three straight and eight of nine games on the season.

The sophomore guard has now been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week three times during the 2012-13 season. Keys and the women’s basketball team will be back on the court twice this week, Thursday, Jan. 3 when they host UNC Pembroke and then Saturday, Jan. 5 when they travel to Dahlonega, Ga. to take on North Georgia.
