GC Picked to Finish 12th in Peach Belt

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll was released Wednesday, with Georgia College coming in 12th of 14 teams.

The Bobcats received votes as high as seventh place on their way to 50 points. GC was seven points behind the University of Montevallo, who came in 11th in the poll. The two teams that competed in the 2011-12 PBC Tournament Championship Title Game, Clayton State University and USC Aiken, tied for first place in the poll with each team receiving 150 points.

GC starts their season Monday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. when they host Wesleyan College for an exhibition game. They’ll start the regular season Saturday, Nov. 10 at 5:30 p.m. when they host the University of West Georgia.
