MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College women's basketball program and head coach Maurice Smith announced the signing of Lindsey Reed Tuesday.
Reed, a guard, comes to Georgia College from Woodland Henry High School in Stockbridge, Ga. where she played under head coach Ashley Maddox. Reed rounded out her senior season netting 15.8 points per game. She also averaged 2.5 assists per game and 2.0 steals per game.
"Lindsey is a terrific student athlete. She brings a good dynamic to our offense," said Smith. "She is a terrific scorer, good off the dribble, and can get a shot off under duress. Lindsey does a good job on the court and fits in very well with the current young ladies we have."
Reed was named All-Region both her junior and senior year. This past season she was named All-Metro, as well as All-State. Reed was named Henry County Player of the Year, and reached the 1,000 point milestone while being named the Coca-Cola Academic Athlete of the Year and graduating with a 4.1 GPA.
