MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – For the third time this season, senior Alyah McGriff (Suwanee) of the Georgia College Women's Basketball team (10-7, 7-4 PBC) has been named Bobcat Athlete of the Week. McGriff picks up the honor for her efforts during the week ending Jan. 21.
McGriff powered the Bobcats to a split in action this week, averaging 18.0 points and 5.0 assists per contest along the way. In the win over USC Aiken, she posted 15 points, going 7-for-8 from the floor. In the buzzer-beater loss to the Peach Belt Conference's (PBC) top team in the University of North Georgia Saturday, McGriff had 21 points and seven rebounds.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 5:30 p.m., hosting Young Harris College.
