INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA released the first round of the Division II Women's Basketball Rankings Wednesday, with Georgia College (15-10, 12-7 PBC) coming in ninth place.

The Bobcats are ninth overall and fourth among the four Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed. The University of North Georgia is ranked third, with Lander University at No. 4 and Flagler College No. 8. Carson-Newman University of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) is No. 1.

The final version of this poll is used to determine the at-large bids to the NCAA Southeast Regional starting March 4. The region hands out three automatic bids to the winners of the championship tournaments in the PBC, SAC and Conference Carolinas. The remaining five slots are determined by the poll.

The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3:30 p.m. hosting North Georgia for Georgia College's Annual Homecoming game.
