AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its year-end award-winners Thursday, and for the second time in her career, Georgia College Women's Basketball's Alyah McGriff (Suwanee) has earned All-PBC Second Team status.
McGriff averages 13.7 points per contest, pulling in 7.4 rebounds per game as well. She ranks 10th in the league in both of those averages. She's also ninth in the conference in blocks with 28.
The senior forward continues to make her mark on the school record books. She joined the 1,000-point club at Georgia College this season, and now stands at 1,103, good for 14th in school history. Her career rebounds total of 603 is positioned seventh, and her 109 career blocks put McGriff 3rd.
She marks the 39th All-PBC honoree in Bobcat Women's Basketball history, and the 10th in head coach Maurice Smith's eight seasons. McGriff is also the seventh multi-time All-PBC award-winner in school history.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, March 3 in the semifinal round of the PBC Tournament, taking on host University of North Georgia at 3:30 p.m.
