Bobcat Soccer Still Among Nations Best

INDIANAPOLIS- The Georgia College & State University soccer team has made their way into the top-8 in three statistical rankings among Division-II schools through games played Oct. 5. The Bobcats (8-1-2, 2-1-1 PBC) are still playing tough defense having allowed only four goals in 10 games.
The Bobcats earned a No. 8 spot in goals-against average (.383). The Bobcats also have seven shutouts on the season (.700) which places them tied for the No. 6 slot with Belmont Abbey College. Georgia College is tied with Belmont Abbey at the eighth spot with an .889 save percentage.
Goalie Mary Rob Plunkett (Augusta, Ga.) is also ranked nationally. Plunkett is ninth on the list with .421 goals against average. She is 11th with an .882 save percentage.
Saturday, Oct. 11 the Bobcats return to action to play at Newberry College, a 3 p.m. kickoff.
