KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Georgia College & State University soccer team (8-1-2, 2-1-1 PBC) rests fourth, the highest ranking in program history, in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Southeast Regional Rankings for the second week in a row as announced yesterday (Oct. 7) by the association. The Bobcats also received votes in the national poll for the first time ever.
Georgia College is also fourth in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) standings, after toppling Lander University 1-0 and Georgia Southwestern State University 5-1, while tying with Armstrong Atlantic State University 2-2 all within the last week. Three other PBC teams were listed in the Southeastern Regional Poll. Columbus State University continues to take top honors; North Carolina-Pembroke sits No. 2, while Armstrong Atlantic claims the seventh slot.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Oct. 11 as they visit Newberry, S.C. to face Newberry College at 3 p.m.
