Bobcat Soccer Adds International Soccer Expert to Camp Clinicians
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University women's soccer program and head coach Juan Pablo Favero are proud to announce the addition of Diego Guacci as a guest clinician for the Bobcat Elite Soccer Camp, July 18-22.
Favero made a professional connection with Guacci during a recent recruiting trip to his native land of Argentina. Guacci is the head coach for the River Plate Club women's team in Argentina.
"We're honored and excited to have someone with the caliber of Diego's soccer expertise share his knowledge at our soccer camp," said head coach Favero. "Women's soccer is on the rise in Argentina, and the River Plate Club has been at the forefront of support to help establish and grow the women's game in Argentina."
The River Plate Club is widely recognized as one of the most powerful professional clubs in South America and the world for men's soccer, and as a pioneer in the growth in women's soccer clubs internationally. Guacci also serves the club as the director of amateur soccer, helping evaluate the talent of multiple male players who have aspirations to reach the professional ranks.
Professional futbollers such as Aimar, Saviola, Crespo and Mascherano are all players produced by the River Plate Club, going on to play on the Argentine national teams and professionally in Europe.
The camp runs from July 18-22, for ages 13-18. The day camper rate is $250, with an overnight camper rate available at $385. The Bobcat soccer program also has a youth camp set for 6-to-12 year-olds, from July 22-25.
