Weather Postpones Start of AASU Pirate Soccer Shootout

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Heavy rains in the Coastal Empire area on Friday have forced the postponement of the first day action in the 2009 AASU Pirate Soccer Shootout to Saturday.

Georgia College and Queens (N.C.) University will now kick off their 2009 seasons on Saturday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m. at AT&T Field. The host Armstrong Atlantic State University will then take on Florida Southern College at 1:30 p.m. in the second match of action.

Sunday's schedule in the Shootout remains unaltered. AASU and Queens (N.C.) will play at 11:00 a.m., with the Bobcats and Florida Southern wrapping up the Shootout at 1:30 p.m.
