KENNESAW, Ga. – The Georgia College & State University soccer team began its exhibition season Tuesday night at Division I Kennesaw State University. The Bobcats took the team picked to win the Atlantic Sun Conference title to the limit, falling 1-0 on an early second-half goal.
The Owls controlled the ball for much of the game, out-shooting Georgia College 17-2. The goal came exactly one minute into the second half, when KSU forward Kristin Kranick found the net with help from Preseason All-ASun choice Kristin Marietta.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Sept. 3 at noon, squaring off with Florida Southern College in the first game of the Little Feet South Florida Shootout, held in Boca Raton, Fla.
