MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University Department of Athletics will host a press conference welcoming Hope Clark as the third women's soccer coach in school history, scheduled for Tuesday, July 13 at 10 a.m. in the Centennial Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Media, fans, friends, family, student-athletes, faculty, staff and all others are welcome to attend the event held on the second floor of the Centennial Center, in the meeting rooms in 237 and 238. Both Clark and Athletic Director Wendell Staton will say a few words, with media also having individual access to both.
Clark brings an excellent pedigree of soccer with her, most recently from Auburn University Montgomery. Bobcat soccer was 10-6-5 overall in 2009, taking third in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC).
Georgia College begins play with an exhibition match Tuesday, Aug. 17 at Division I Kennesaw State University. The Bobcats open the home slate Friday, Sept. 10 at 7:30 p.m. hosting Anderson University in day one of the Second Annual Bobcat Shootout.
