Ga. – Freshman forward Katie Taylor
(Sharpsburg, Ga.) of the Georgia College & State
University soccer team (2-2) was named the Bobcat Athlete of the
Week, for the week ending Sept. 12. This is the second-straight
honor for Taylor.
Taylor was an offensive catalyst for the Bobcats this past weekend as she scored her second goal of the season in the 3-0 shutout against Anderson University. The freshman forward was also part of a double assist in the 1-0 victory over No. 13 Florida Tech. The win over Florida Tech marks the highest-ranked opponent that Georgia College has ever beaten.
The Bobcats are back in action Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1:30 p.m., hosting Barry University for the 2010 Little Feet Invitational.
