Georgia College Soccer Back in Regional Rankings

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – After three-straight wins, the Georgia College soccer team (5-3, 2-0 PBC) is back in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Southeast Regional Rankings. The Bobcats are slotted at No. 10 in the fifth poll of the season as they were ranked ninth earlier in the season.

GC has won three-straight, including two shutouts and two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) games.

The Bobcats shut out PBC member Georgia Southwestern State University 3-0 Sept. 22 and followed it with another shutout win over the University of West Georgia 4-0 Sept. 25. Georgia College then defeated the Bearcats of Lander University 2-1 Sept. 29.

The ‘Cats are one of five PBC schools in the Southeast Region Poll as Columbus State University is No. 1 followed by Armstrong Atlantic State University at No. 2, UNC Pembroke is third and North Georgia is fourth.

Georgia College hosts Armstrong Atlantic Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Bobcat Field.
