MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Despite posting a 0-1-1 record this past week, the Georgia College soccer team (7-4-1, 4-1-1 PBC) remained ranked inside the top-10 in two regional rankings.
The Bobcats are seventh in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Southeast Regional Poll, improving one spot up from last week’s rankings.
There are five other Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools in the NSCAA Regional Rankings. Armstrong Atlantic and Columbus State University remain at the top two slots, respectively. North Georgia and UNC Pembroke also remained at the fourth and fifth spots. Lander University clawed their way into the rankings at No. 9.
In the NCAA Southeast Region Poll the ‘Cats are slotted at No. 10 for the second-straight week. The poll is used to determine the three at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament, as well as the host of the region tourney.
There are four other PBC teams listed in the poll with Armstrong Atlantic, Columbus State and UNC Pembroke taking second thru fourth, respectively. North Georgia is ranked at the sixth spot.
GC is in action today (Wednesday, Oct. 20) at UNC Pembroke at 3 p.m.
