Bobcats Donate Clothes to Salvation Army
by Tyler Peck, sports information graduate
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Recently the Bobcat soccer team hosted a “Salvation Army/Barberitos Night” where students were encouraged to donate to the Salvation Army. For every piece of clothing they brought, they got a chance to win a $50 certificate to Barberitos.
“The Salvation Army promotion went very well,” said Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator Ginger Chaffinch. “We had a lot of participation from the general student body. I was very pleased with the involvement, and the Salvation Army was very appreciative of Georgia College’s donations.”
GC Athletics is very excited about their recent involvement with local charities and they hope to continue that success for years to come.
