Bobcat Soccer Ranked Seventh in Region
KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its most recent region polls this week, with Georgia College soccer (1-3) taking the No. 7 slot in the Southeast Region.
The poll ranks the top-10 teams in the region, seven of which belonged to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC). This week’s poll is the first in which the Bobcats appear this season.
Lenoir-Rhyne University, at poll time the lone loss of the season for the Bobcats, was No. 1, with perennial favorite Columbus State University in second. UNC Pembroke took No. 3, with Armstrong No. 4 and North Georgia in at No. 5. Lander University was a slot before GC, with Flagler College one spot behind.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, Sept. 16 at 4:30 p.m. traveling to the University of Tampa to battle Barry University (1-3). The Buccaneers most recently lost 3-0 at Columbus State University Sept. 9.
