MARTINEZ, Ga. – The Georgia College soccer team has been placed sixth in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
The Bobcats return 12 from the 2010 squad, but add 14 newcomers for the upcoming season. GC received 55 total points, one behind PBC foe, Lander University. The ‘Cats received two fourth place votes, four fifth place votes and three sixth place votes.
Armstrong Atlantic State University took the No. 1 spot edging Columbus State University by two points. North Georgia sits at third, two points ahead of UNC Pembroke.
The Bobcats open up Friday, Sept. 2, battling No. 8 Lenoir-Rhyne University at the Tusculum Tournament in Tennessee. The first home contest comes a week later, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m., when GC faces off against Wingate University in the Bobcat Shootout.
