COLUMBUS, Ga. – Two second-half goals sent the Georgia College soccer team (4-5, 1-3 PBC) to a 3-0 loss Wednesday night at No. 12 Columbus State University (8-1, 2-1 PBC).
Chelsea Person got the scoring started on a one-timer from Kansas Bayley with just 6:54 remaining in the first half.
The momentum continued through the break, as the Cougars picked up a pair of goals in the first 10 minutes of the second frame. Shelby Rolling and Stephanie Lowery each netted one, making the match 3-0 early in the second half.
Both teams split time in net, as Mary Mancin picked up the win for CSU, tallying three saves over 69:24. GC sophomore Annie Stephens (Fayetteville, Ga.) made three stops among six tries, tabbed with the loss in 69:22 of work.
The Bobcats are back in action Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m., hosting Clayton State University.
