MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – National strength of schedule rankings system BennettRank recently posted its 2012 schedule results, with Georgia College's strength of schedule coming in at No. 7 in the nation.
The Bobcats lead the 11-team Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in the category at seventh overall, one slot ahead of PBC Champion No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic State University.
The PBC as a whole was positioned second among all Division II conferences in BennettRank, a system that combines strength of schedule, opponent offense rank and opponent defense rank with the team's win and loss record to create a more comprehensive national ranking.
Georgia College was listed No. 79 in BennettRank, seventh in the PBC. The conference boasted four teams in the top-20 of this rankings system.
The Bobcats get the 2013 schedule started at Barry University Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. The first Georgia College home contest comes Friday, Sept. 13 as it hosts the Bobcat Shootout, taking on Pfeiffer University at 7:30 p.m.
