AUGUSTA, Ga. – Powering Georgia College soccer (10-7-1) to two wins and a spot in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament, sophomore forward Ashley Veilleux (Monroe, Ga.) was named the PBC Offensive Player of the Week Monday.
Veilleux scored twice and added an assist as Georgia College won their final two conference games last week to clinch a spot in the PBC Tournament.
The sophomore first collected an assist as the Bobcats downed Georgia Southwestern 2-0, then she scored both goals as GC locked up a seed with a 2-0 win over Flagler. Veilleux is now tied for fifth in the PBC with nine goals on the season. She is also fifth in total points.
The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. as they head to Columbus State University for a PBC Tournament Quarterfinal match.
