Bobcat Soccer to Honor 10th Anniversary Team, Alumni Day Saturday

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College soccer team and head coach Hope Clark are set to host their annual Alumni Day Saturday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m., when the Bobcats play host to No. 14 Armstrong Atlantic State University.

With the season marking the 10th anniversary of Georgia College soccer, the Bobcats will also honor a 10th Anniversary Team at halftime, with all 11 members invited back to receive their jerseys.

The 10th Anniversary Team shows the impact that Georgia College soccer has had on the Division II soccer landscape in such a short time. All 11 players have at least achieved All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) status, some going well beyond that stage. The 11 players, in alphabetical order:

Jessica Binkowski – D – 2007-2010

Two-time All-PBC honoree (2008 and 2009) … CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District (2010, 2008) … NSCAA All-America and All-Region Scholar … Three-time PBC All-Academic Team … Holds unique distinction of being named the PBC Goalkeeper of the Week and the PBC Defensive Player of the Week in the same season … Member of 2008 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

Karen Bonilla – MF – 2008-2011

Three-time All-PBC (2008, 2010, 2011) … Member of 2008 NCAA Tournament Qualifiers.

Morgan Cobb – D – 2006-2009

Three-time All-PBC (2007, 2008, 2009) … First All-Region player in school history (Daktronics 2007) … Twice named All-Region by Daktronics, twice by the NSCAA … School leader in career matches played … 2007 PBC All-Tournament Team … 2009 PBC All-Academic … Four-time PBC Defensive Player of the Week … Member of 2008 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

Kayla Emerson – F – 2007-2010

2008 All-PBC Second Team … Member of 2008 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

Hayley Ferrell – F – 2005-2008

First Three-time All-PBC honoree in school history (2005, 2006, 2007) … 2008 NSCAA All-Region … 2008 PBC All-Academic … School's all-time and single-season leader in both points and goals … Named PBC Offensive Player of the Week in 2007 … Member of 2008 NCAA Tournament qualifiers.

Tawny Moffat – D – 2008-2011

Mary Rob Plunkett – GK – 2007-2010
