GC Soccer’s Barys Chosen to Academic All-District First Team
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) announced the Capital One Academic All-District Teams for Women's Soccer Thursday, with Georgia College sophomore Ally Barys (Ladera Ranch, Calif.) earning a spot on the District 3 First Team.
Barys owns a perfect 4.00 GPA in exercise science at Georgia College, and has started all 16 games this season, tallying four goals. She is the first All-District honoree for Bobcat soccer since 2010, when Jessica Binkowski and Ally Treat each earned spots.
GC soccer has had seven All-District honorees all-time. Barys joins Binkowski and Beth Coughlin as the only first-team selections in school history.
District 3 includes all colleges and universities from the Peach Belt Conference (PBC), Conference Carolinas and South Atlantic Conference.
