MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Partnering with the Old Capitol Soccer League, the Georgia College soccer program and head coach Hope Clark recently hosted a clinic for three different local U12 teams at Bobcat Field Oct. 22.

Over 35 local youth took part in the free clinic, working with the Bobcat coaching staff and student-athletes on 1v1 attacking, passing and receiving, finishing and goalkeeping.

"It was a great turnout for our community engagement project with OCSL youth players," said Clark. "The players and coaches enjoyed working with these young men and women teaching them basic technical skills to improve their game. As a varsity athletic program we want to help build soccer in the community because it is a game for everyone, and we are blessed to have been given the ability and opportunities through Georgia College to give back."

GC soccer is back in action Saturday, Nov. 2 at 4 p.m., traveling to Flagler College (5-10-2, 1-7-2 PBC). The Saints most recently lost to Armstrong Atlantic State University 1-0 Wednesday.
