MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Soccer program and head coach Hope Clark released the 2018 schedule Friday, with nine home matches on the list.
Action begins a little earlier for the Bobcats, as they travel to Anderson University for the season opener Thursday, Aug. 30.
The home opener comes a few days later as Florida Southern College invades Bobcat Field for non-conference action Sunday, Sept. 2. The weekend of Sept. 7-9 brings the annual Bobcat Shootout, as the Bobcats, the University of Montevallo, the University of West Georgia and Clayton State University are all in action with four matches over three days.
The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) opener is at Lander Saturday, Sept. 15. Bobcat fans will also want to look for Senior Day Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. against Converse College. That match with the Valkyries caps five home contests in the month of October.
The Bobcats went 11-6 in 2017 with a school-record seven conference victories. Forward Amanda Bartholomew (Peachtree City) set the school's single-season record for goals, was the PBC Player of the Year and the second All-American in school history.
