Georgia College Wins Coveted Peach Belt Commissioner’s Cup for First Time
HILTON HEAD, S.C. – For the first time, Georgia College & State University has won the coveted Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Commissioner’s Cup, recognizing it as the overall top athletic program in the conference. GCSU edged out Armstrong Atlantic State University for the honor.

JONESBORO, Ga. – The hopes for a Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championship came to an end today (April 18) for the No. 22 women’s tennis team at Georgia College & State University (9-10). As the No. 6 seed, the Bobcats lost to No. 3 seed Francis Marion University (17-3) 5-1. The PBC Tournament is hosted by Clayton State University.

Peach Belt Conference Releases Women’s Tennis Tournament Bracket
AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) has announced the bracket for the 2009 PBC Women’s Tennis Tournament which starts Friday, April 17 at the Clayton County Tennis Center in Jonesboro, Ga. The tourney is hosted by Clayton State University with all 11 PBC schools competing for the conference championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.

Baseball’s Greg Winters, tennis’s Jay Torrence and Anna (Haggkvist) Sundstrom and basketball’s Leonard Scott will return to Milledgeville and receive the honor.

VALDOSTA, Ga. – The tennis squads at Georgia College & State University were overpowered today (Feb. 8) getting shut out by third best team in the country on both sides, Valdosta State University. The No. 13 Georgia College men’s team moves to 2-1 on the season while the No. 19 Bobcat women’s team evens up at 1-1. This marked the first loss for any Bobcat doubles or singles effort this season.
