MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings and the NCAA regional rankings have been released this week with the Bobcat women's tennis team (7-6, 4-5 PBC) finding their name on both lists.

In the Southeast Regional ranking posted by the NCAA, Georgia College & State University ranks sixth with five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) ahead of them. The top 10 teams from each region make the NCAA Tournament in May, with three spots taken by conference tournament champions.

The ITA released its national team, singles and doubles rankings along with regional rankings for all three categories.

Georgia College fell three spots to No. 22 in the nation. Marjorie Ceppo (Sao Paulo, Brazil) moved up a spot to No. 47 in the nation in singles.

The Bobcats are sixth in the Southeast Region behind the same five PBC teams ahead of them in the NCAA ranking. In singles rankings, Ceppo is at No. 12.  The duo of Gabby Acuna (Peachtree City, Ga.) and Ceppo are at the No. 10 slot.

Georgia College is in action today, April 3 against #15 Hawaii Pacific University with matches beginning at 2 p.m.
