CARROLLTON, Ga. – The No. 30 Georgia College women's tennis team (9-8) made quick work of the University of West Georgia (1-9) Tuesday afternoon, taking down the Wolves by a final score of 9-0.

Georgia College got things going with an impressive doubles showing winning all three of their matches.

The top tandem of Kayla Barksdale (Augusta, Ga.) and Lisa Setyon-Ortenzio (Paris) defeated Raven Pugh and Amanda Stewart 8-0, while Ivana Marevic (Rottweil, Germany) and Leah Pridegon (Lawrenceville, Ga.) equaled that performance with an identical 8-0 win over Kelly Arsenault and Aubrey Biddle at the second slot.

Sara Roberts (Kennesaw, Ga.) and Anna Hicks (Brunswick, Ga.) topped Molly Olsen and Caroline Brown 8-1 at the third position.

The Bobcats quickly continued their dominance in singles action, with No. 20 Setyon-Ortenzio knocking off Olsen in a straight-set shutout at the top position, followed by another blanking from Barksdale over Arsenault at the second slot.

Roberts and Hicks would match the score of their teammates defeating Biddle and Brown 6-0, 6-0, respectively.

At the third position, Marevic took down Pugh 6-1, 6-0, while Pridegon rounded out the scoring for the 'Cats with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Stewart at the fourth spot.

GC remains unbeaten against unranked teams this season, improving to 9-0 in that category.

The Bobcat women will have a quick turnaround as they host Brenau University tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Centennial Center Tennis Facility.
