SKILMAN, N.J. – Four Georgia College women’s tennis players were named to the recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athlete list, the organization announced recently.
All four Bobcats also earned slots on the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Presidential Honor Roll this year, with Johnson and Lochner reaching PBC Gold Scholar status, the highest level.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman thorough senior year).
The Bobcat women’s tennis team kicks off the fall season Friday, Sept. 23 in Sumter, S.C. at the ITA Southeast Regional Tournament.
